Beatrice Glass

Beatrice Glass, 64, of Casa Grande died Oct. 12, 2008 at RTA Hospice House after a brief battle with cancer.


Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church. The funeral there will follow at 2, with Bishop Nathaniel White officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Glass was born in Leesburg, Texas, and was a daughter of Frank Duffey and Eunice Hollins. She attended Leesburg and Casa Grande public schools, including Casa Grande Union High School. She worked for the Casa Grande Elementary School District for 38 years and was a manager. She retired in 2006.

Survivors include her husband, Charles L.; four daughters, Linda A. Martinez, Becky J. Glass-Brown, Barbara Ann Glass and Cherry L. Glass, all of Casa Grande; three sons, Ray C. and Gregory Glass of Glendale and Christopher C. Glass of Casa Grande; three sisters, Edna Goff of Gilmer, Texas, Christell Sumpter of Chandler and Nina F. Glass of Phoenix; two brothers, Jerry W. Duffey of Cason, Texas, and William Duffey of Pittsburg, Texas; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Glass; a daughter, April Glass; two brothers, Raymond and Charles Duffey; and a sister, Artie M. Welch.
