Artemiza Michelle Figueroa

Artemiza "Michelle" Mendoza Figueroa, 62, died on Aug. 27, 2015, in Casa Grande, surrounded by her family, after a long struggle with cancer.

Mrs. Figueroa was born on Feb. 28, 1953, in Casa Grande. She loved being with her family and enjoyed taking long walks, cloudy days and watching scary movies. She also loved her bird, Polly, and dog, Little Girl.

Survivors include her husband, Fernando; a daughter, Denise Mendoza Jaramillo of Houston; five sisters, Gloria Espinoza, Socorro Ramirez, Frances Perea of Coolidge, Susie Lynch of Arizona City and Blanca Chavez of Eloy; a brother, Johnny Macazan of Blackwater; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lydia Miguel, and three brothers, Frankie and Gilbert Mendoza and Manuel Macazan.

The memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the family home.
