Armando Zepeda

AK-CHIN - Armando Zepeda Sr., 86, died on Sept. 5, 2013, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Home in Sells.
Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Mission in Ak-Chin, with a wake following. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 7 a.m. Saturday by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
Mr. Zepeda was born on May 15, 1927, in Sonora, Mexico, and was a son of Marianna Zepeda. He lived in the Stanfield area for many years while working on cotton and wheat farms.
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Zabawa and Lori Allen of Ak-Chin and Amelia Zepeda of Randolph; four sons, Roy Zepeda of Casa Grande, Victor Zepeda of Chuichu Village, Ruben Zepeda of Sacaton and Armando Zepeda Jr. of Ak-Chin; two brothers, Henry Zepeda Sr. of Stanfield and Raul Zepeda of Mexico; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Richard, Daniel and Abel Zepeda, and a daughter, Marianna Zepeda.
