Antonio Silva,

ELOY - Antonio Silva Jr., 94, of Eloy died Oct. 4, 2007 at Villa Campana Health Care in Tucson.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 9 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Bardo Antunez. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Silva was born July 6, 1913 in Mexico and was a son of Antonio and Ramona Silva. He was a laborer and a member of St. Helen's Church. He was a foster grandparent for more than 20 years with the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge.

Survivors include four daughters, Juana Ramirez of Gregory, Texas, Lupe Rodriguez and Gloria Anguiano of Eloy and Yolanda Alvarez of Yuma; five sons, Raul, Ramon and David Silva, all of Tucson, Mike Silva of Gallatin County, Ky., and Tomas Silva of Rio Rico; a sister, Loreta Campos of Eloy; 36 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarita.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
