ELOY — Antonio D. "Tata" Chavira, 66, of Eloy died on March 17, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The funeral will follow at 11. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Chavira was born on Nov. 2, 1945, in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a son of Alfredo and Eduvijes Chavira. He was a farmworker for more than 30 years in California, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. His hobbies were listening to Spanish music, dancing, being outdoors and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially the young children.
Survivors include his wife, Maria S.; two daughters, Christina Campos of Arizona City and Veronica Teague of Casa Grande; a son, Martin Lopez of Casa Grande; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Guadalupe Chavira, and a sister, Martha E. Nolasco.
