Anne Bacher

MARICOPA - Anne Catherine Bacher, 91, of Maricopa died on April 13, 2014.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Marcos Velasquez. Burial will be in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.

Mrs. Bacher was born on Sept. 9, 1922, in Rochester, N.Y., and was a daughter of John and Josephine DiLillo. She was a homemaker and a faithful Catholic and recited the Liturgy of the Hours every morning, afternoon, evening and night. She began singing in choirs when she was 3 and sang alto with the nuns of a Carmelite community in Pennsylvania. She continued singing in the Our Lady of Grace choir and ironed the linens for the altar until breaking her hip in a fall when she was 89. She was devoted to her husband until his death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert F.
