Alva Baker,

October 6, 1925 — December 2, 2006

Mr Baker was born in Middlesboro, KY, a son of Alva and Elsie (Johnson) Baker.
He was a veteran who served in the Merchant Marines. He spent most of his life in Dayton, Ohio and moved to ARizona about 13 years ago, settling in Casa Grande. He prided himself in knowing about the old time cowboys, their names and hard to find information about them. He served during D-Day and made 27 trips across the English Channel, going between England and France. He was on the 1st ship in Antwerp, Belgium after it was liberated from the Germans.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kay, of Casa Grande; 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
