Allen Jeffrey Mix

BLACKWATER — Allen Jeffrey Mix, 22, died on Aug. 17, 2022.

Mr. Mix was born on June 4, 2000. He was a pipe layer in the construction industry and loved what he did for a living. He was passionate about baseball and loved football.

He loved to challenge himself with puzzles and strategy games and was always fixing things around the house. He was his brothers' keeper, and they all looked up to him. He did his best to keep his younger brothers on the right path in all they did. He was loved by many and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He made an impact on everyone who came into his life in one way or another. He enjoyed country and Mexican music, his go-to.


Survivors include his parents, Jesse Mix Sr. and Anna Martinez of Blackwater; five brothers, Wade Mix, Kody Mix, Jesse "JB" Mix Jr., Edward Juarez and Gabriel Amavisca; three sisters, Marie Mix, Leticia Juarez and Aryianna Amavisca, all of Blackwater; and grandparents, Maxmiliano Martinez of Oaxaca, Mexico, and Joanne Pratt of Sacaton. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Vivian Martinez.

Visitation from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, at the District 1 Service Center. Funeral at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Blackwater Presbyterian Church. Graveside service at Squawbush Cemetery. Pastor Lee Miguel officiating.
