Alice F. Mendez

Alice F. Mendez, 69, of Casa Grande died June 28, 2008 at Hospice Family Care.


Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Mission in Cababi Village, with the wake following. Burial will be in Cababi Cemetery.

Mrs. Mendez was born Aug. 3, 1938 in Santa Rosa and was a daughter of Juan and Eloisa Valisto. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching game shows, especially "Wheel of Fortune." She liked basket weaving, listening to music and spending time with her cats.

Survivors include three sons, Melvin and Marvin Mendez and Fred L. Valisto, all of Casa Grande, and a brother, John Valisto of Palo Verde Stand Village. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas; a son, Jose Mendez; a brother; and a sister.
