Alice Annette Montalvo

September 25, 1948 — November 7, 2021

Alice A Montalvo, 73, of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away on November 7, 2021.

Alice was born on September 25, 1948 in Medford, Oregon to William L. & Helen R Dixon (Burrell). She spent the first 10 years of her life in Casa Grande, AZ and later moved to Manteca, CA where she met & married Samuel (Phil) Montalvo on Nov. 2, 1963. Together they had 3 children, Phil Jr, Stephen and Stephanie.

Alice had an amazing 40-year career working for corporate Avon Products, where she achieved high level success and recognition. She earned several trips and able travel all over the world.
In 2002 Alice’s kidneys failed & she had to start dialysis treatment to sustain her life.

In 2005 she received the gift of a kidney from her angel on earth and friend, Carol Barner. Carol didn’t even know Alice before that but heard her health challenge and offered her a kidney. The idea that she would do this was truly the gift of life – we are forever grateful to Carol for stepping up and doing this for her.

After Phil’s retirement they made the decision to move back to Casa Grande to be closer to extended family.

Unfortunately, in 2017 her health began to decline again, and she had to return to dialysis treatments. She was trooper. She was fighter! She spent final years of her life in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and every other day dialysis.

Alice was survived by her husband of 58 years, Phil Montalvo of Casa Grande; by her son Stephen Montalvo of Mountain Hill, NV; her daughter Stephanie Montalvo (Tonnacliff) of Manteca, CA; and by her 7 grandchildren, Sabrina Talley (Montalvo), Staci Montalvo, Morgan Montalvo, Christopher Montalvo-Wardlow, Nicholas Montalvo, and April Montalvo.

She also had 8 great grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Audriella, Carter, Noah, Roman, Sariah & Charlotte.

Alice has 4 surviving siblings, her twin sisters Carolyn Hegvet (Dixon) of Lucile, Idaho and Kathryn Dixon (Stokes) of Casa Grande, AZ, William (Bill) Dixon Jr of North Carolina and Lissa Britt (Dixon) of Sonora CA.
