Alfred Mark Alessi

MARICOPA - Alfred Mark Alessi, 89, of Maricopa died peacefully on Aug. 11, 2016

Mr. Alessi was born on July 30, 1927, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Paul and Rosalia Alessi. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a mechanical engineer.

His hobbies included building model planes and ships and watching football and old western movies. He attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and believed in honor, courage and commitment, especially to his family.

Survivors include seven sons and daughters, Mark Alessi of Michigan, Brenda R. Dupek of Michigan, Christopher J. Alessi of Arizona, Teresa Alessi-Alam of California, Patricia Ondrus of Michigan, Victor P. Alessi and Veronica Morse of Maricopa; two brothers, Joseph Alessi of Michigan and Leno Alessi of California; a sister, Mary Zava of Canada; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia.

The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
