Alejandro Mendez

ELOY - Alejandro Y. Mendez, 49, of Eloy died on Aug. 31, 2014, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel, with rosary recited at 7.

Mr. Mendez was born on Jan. 4, 1965, in Poteet, Texas. He was a 49ers fan and a good handyman who could fix almost anything.

Survivors include a son, Melvin Alejandro Mendez; three brothers, Jesus, Ramon and Liborio Mendez Jr.; and nine sisters, Lupe, Juanita, Maria Elena, Teresa, Jesusa, Dominga, Candida, Sylvia and Rosa Maria Mendez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Liborio and Rafaela Mendez.
