Adan G. Martinez

COOLIDGE - Adan G. Martinez, 77, of Coolidge died on Oct. 4, 2014, in Casa Grande.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Adolfo Martinez. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.

Mr. Martinez was born on Feb. 16, 1937, in Mesa and was a son of Jose T. and Osevia Martinez. He was a farmworker and enjoyed planting and growing fruit trees. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, liked watching novellas with his wife and loved doughnuts, especially chocolate.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary A.; three daughters, Natalie and Mary F. Martinez of Coolidge and Adrian Ramirez of Florence; a son, Adam M. Martinez of Coolidge; a sister, Lena Matu of Tempe; a brother, Manuel Martinez of Tempe; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ortero and Eva Flores, and two brothers, Joe G. and Robert Martinez.
