Acie Alexander Armstrong

September 4, 1915 — March 15, 2006

Born in Bluffton, Ark.; the youngest son of John J and Susan Barnes Armstrong. Part of a farming family, he spent his early years migrating betseen Ark., Tx., N.M. and Arizona. He learned the art of farming and loved to tell his family of his adventures. A self-taught man of many skills, an excellent carpenter, mechanic and smithy. He was proud of being a dependable, hard-worker since the age of 12. He was a charter member and deacon of Trinity Southern Baptist Church and most recently was a member of Grace Church. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge in Bluffton, devoted to his family and took great delight in family gatherings and hunting or fishing with his sons.
