Pablo Avilez

ELOY - Pablo Avilez, 88, of Eloy died on July 7, 2015, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mr. Avilez was born on Jan. 29, 1927, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a son of Virginia and Pablo Avilez Sr. He was a truck driver for a chemical company and a reserve officer for the city of Eloy for 10 years. He loved to spend time with family and friends and was a devoted father and grandfather.

Survivors include five daughters, Juanita Avilez, Eva Gonzalez, Mary Helen Gonzalez and Sylvia De La Cerda, all of Eloy, and Angie Rodriguez of Casa Grande; two sons, Paul Avilez Jr. and David Avilez of Eloy; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Romelia.
