Lawrence Valenzuela

ELOY - Lawrence Valenzuela, 50, of Eloy died on March 16, 2015.

The wake will begin at 5 p.m. today at 101 S. Picacho Heights Road. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Mission in Blackwater. Burial will be in Blackwater.

Mr. Valenzuela was born on Nov. 29, 1964, in Sacaton. He was a farm tractor driver and a hardworking man who was devoted to his family. He especially loved his grandchildren, who called him Pappy. He enjoyed driving his tractor, all kinds of music and barbecues and was a big Green Bay Packers fan. He loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Xavier; a son, Ruben Xavier of Arizona City; a daughter, Ericka Xavier of Eloy; his mother, Dolores Lopez of Eloy; two brothers, Johnny and Fernando Valenzuela of Eloy; three sisters, Michelle, Amelia and Carol Valenzuela, all of Eloy; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchell Valenzuela.
