Chuck Bennett

February 11, 1931 — March 14, 2018

Chuck Bennett was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, February 11th, 1931. He was from a large family. His father was his foundation. His mother was his compass. His brothers were his heroes and his sisters were a blessing. Later in his life he enjoyed writing stories and wrote over 50 children’s stories and completed a fictional novel, (The Prince From
Out of The Desert) about the people known as the Hohokam, who lived during the ancient times at the Casa Grande (big house) Ruins National Monument in Coolidge, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Elsie; four brothers, David, Warren, Gordon and Rex; four sisters, Charlotte, Phyllis, Marianna and Jacqueline M. Bennett; and his son, Brett M. Bennett. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Schoen Bennett of Casa Grande; his daughter, Cheryl Trousil (Ed); grandsons, Jay and Eric Trousil of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Peggy’s daughters, Stephanie Grier and Stacy Kleinz.
